Today I saw snowflakes falling in downtown Fairbanks. It was shocking to see after all the warm weather we have been having for nearly two weeks. The brief snow almost makes summer feel far away, but we know better.

First of all, thanks again to Bearfoot for the show last Sunday. We enjoyed ourselves immensely on that stage and felt good about our set. It had been a while since I had seen Mike and Jason, and I can't wait to see them again with some time to play music together.

Lori and Mace really helped promote the event on KUAC by playing songs from both bands and reminding folks to come out. And a lot of you came out!

Rick Miller Productions ran incredible sound through only two JBL 15" EONS planted on the stage. How is that possible?! I guess the acoustics in the Davis Concert Hall don't need a lot to broadcast clear sound at the right volume. Even Bearfoot's 3-5 part vocal harmonies and intricate instrument breaks were clear and articulate coming from only two speakers.

Gary Toth worked the lights for the evening and recorded a house blend of our set. He is playing it on KUAC tonight around 11 PM.

We will have a song or two from the evening and maybe a video available on this site soon. The video was taken from a tripod, so it is pretty basic. At least you can get an idea of the size of the audience and their enthusiasm to hear some music.

Bud Johnson from "Acoustic Accents" has been helping promote Steve Brown and the Bailers to a lot of his fellow radio hosts around the US. Thanks to Bud, we have received many requests for our album, How Things Start, all the way from Florida to California. As the DJs send us their reviews, we will add them to the new REVIEWS page on this site.

I made a link and wrote the time when you can stream these folk/bluegrass/acoustic programs from all around the lower 48. I have found it pretty cool to hear new music from these DJs in different regions. Check em out under the REVIEWS page.

Finally, the band is feeling pretty good about the three new songs we performed at the Bearfoot show: "Gravel Road," Baby, Please Don't Come Home Tonight," and "In Too Deep." We are looking into returning to the studio to lock 'em down while they are fresh. Keep an eye out for those songs at the beginning of 2010.

  Come see us at the Pub on Friday Dec 4th. We will be starting a little early (8 PM or so), so we can walk down the hill to see the Whipsaws at the Marlin later in the evening. Dave Parks and Eric Graves will be back with us making it a rocking show.

  Saturday, Dec 5th will be our last show of the year. We will be at the Fartherst North Harley Davidson shop for the Yukon Quest's Hawg N Dawg fundraiser. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Last year we saw lots of desirable aucion items, delicious food, and fine wine. This year promises even more plus hear our Yukon Quest song!

     We wanted to have a site where our friends and fans could see up-to-date news on our upcoming shows.

        We also wanted a place to easily show off the recordings, photos, and videos made by you and the     
          members of the band.
